The Octane is DK's newest
aluminum race frame. Improving upon the already popular MP3 frame, the
Octane features 7005 aluminum construction, 3D machined dropouts for
strength, a Euro BB shell and V-brake mounts. Butted top and seat
tubes make for a light frame while gussets at the head tube keep it stiff
and strong.
Specs: The Mini and
Junior accept 22.2mm seatposts; all others accept 27.2mm posts. The
Mini and Junior have a 1" headtube; the Expert has a 1 1/8" headtube; and
all Pro models have an integrated headset-style head tube. The Pro
model weighs in at 4.1 pounds. Top tube length for the Mini is 16.5";
Junior, 17.5"; Expert, 19"; Pro, 20.5"; Pro XL, 21"; Pro XXL, 21.5";
Cruiser, 21".
